CIVIL SECRETARIAT ALLOWANCE @ 100% OF MONTHLY BASIC PAY OF BASIC PAY SCALES-2026

The Finance Department of the Government of the Punjab has issued official Notification No.FD.PR.9-7/2019, granting a Civil Secretariat Allowance at 100% of the monthly basic pay under the Basic Pay Scales 2026 (BPS-2026), effective July 1, 2026. Signed by Finance Secretary Mujahid Sherdil, this update extends to employees across Punjab Civil Secretariat Departments, the Governor's Secretariat, and the Chief Minister's Office who draw pay from their official payrolls (BS-1 to BS-22). Building upon the previous December 21, 2022 directive, all standard terms and conditions remain intact: officers already receiving the Executive Allowance are excluded from this benefit, and the allowance will not be treated as part of basic emoluments for pension or commutation calculations.
