Job Summary
We are looking for a Junior System & Network Engineer to support our client's IT infrastructure, including servers, network devices, firewalls, structured cabling, and IP telephony. The ideal candidate should possess strong hands-on troubleshooting skills and a proactive willingness to learn and grow within a professional enterprise IT environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Support the infrastructure team to install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot servers, switches, routers, and network devices.

Assist with day-to-day administration and helpdesk support for Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP.

Coordinate the configuration and troubleshooting of firewalls, VPNs, NAT, and basic network security policies.

Execute physical infrastructure tasks including Cat5e/Cat6 Ethernet and fiber-optic cabling installation.

Assist with hardware racking, patch panel termination, cable labeling, and network mapping work.

Configure, deploy, and troubleshoot workplace IP phones and VoIP connectivity.

Monitor active server and network performance logs to resolve routine connectivity issues.

Provide reliable technical support to end-users and escalate complex issues to senior engineers when required.

Maintain accurate network diagrams, deployment documentation, and IT asset records.
Requirements & Qualifications:

Educational Background: Diploma or Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Network Engineering, or a related field.

Experience Level: 1 to 2 years of practical experience in system/network support, helpdesk operations, or IT infrastructure.

Technical Skills: Foundational knowledge of the TCP/IP suite, VLANs, routing, switching, DNS, and DHCP.

Hands-on Familiarity: Basic exposure to server deployment, firewalls, physical network hardware, Ethernet/fiber cabling, and IP phones.

Soft Skills: Strong analytical troubleshooting abilities, professional communication, and collaborative problem-solving skills.

Preferred Assets: Progress tracking toward or completion of CCNA/relevant industry certifications is a distinct advantage.
