Job Description

An opportunity is available for an experienced Online Physics Tutor to teach Umar Sheikh, a Grade 8 student based in Pakistan who is studying Physics under National Curriculum / Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Textbook Board. This remote teaching opportunity is suitable for a professional educator who can explain concepts clearly, adapt lessons to the student’s current level, and provide structured online learning support.

The selected tutor will conduct 5 classes per week, with each class lasting 1 hour per class. The monthly salary is USD $80, and the demo session is scheduled for 2:00 PM PKT. During the demo, the teacher should demonstrate strong subject knowledge, clear communication, professional online teaching skills, and the ability to identify the student’s learning needs.

The tutor will be responsible for planning organized lessons according to the student’s actual school syllabus, textbook, assignments, assessments and learning requirements. Lessons should include clear explanation, guided practice, independent practice, homework or worksheets where appropriate, revision of weak areas, regular assessment, constructive feedback, punctual attendance and professional communication.

The tutor should not assume a universal syllabus from the grade or class name alone. The teacher should first review the student’s current syllabus or course outline, textbook, completed topics, school worksheets, assessment information and teacher-provided material, then align the tutoring plan with the applicable National Curriculum / Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Textbook Board requirements.

For lesson preparation, the student’s official school curriculum and textbook should remain the primary source. The tutor may use suitable standards-aligned or board-aligned supplementary resources for additional explanations, practice, assessment and revision, but these should support rather than replace the student’s assigned school materials.

The ideal applicant should have strong command of Physics, relevant teaching experience, excellent communication skills, and confidence using online teaching tools such as digital whiteboards, screen sharing, assessments and learning platforms. The teacher should be able to create an interactive environment in which the student can ask questions, practise independently, correct mistakes and build confidence.

Teachers applying for this opportunity should also be prepared to demonstrate their professional online teaching setup. A professional Website Portfolio should clearly present qualifications, teaching experience, subject expertise and relevant professional information, while a Personal LMS should demonstrate how lessons, learning resources, assignments, assessments and student progress are organized. If the professional Website Portfolio and Personal LMS cannot be properly viewed and explored during review, the application may face an approval issue.

The ideal teacher should combine subject expertise with clear communication and organized lesson planning.
