Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Cashier role based in the Larkana District. The Cashier will handle daily cash transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, and payments, while ensuring accuracy and compliance with bank policies.
Responsibilities include verifying customer identification, counting and balancing cash at the beginning and end of shifts, and maintaining proper records for all transactions. The role also involves responding to customer queries at the counter, providing basic product information, and directing customers to relevant departments when needed. The Cashier will follow security and fraud-prevention procedures and collaborate with branch staff to support smooth branch operations.
Qualifications
• Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail for handling cash, reconciling balances, and maintaining accurate transaction records.
• Customer service and communication skills to interact courteously with customers, manage queues, and respond clearly to routine inquiries.
• Basic computer literacy, including use of core banking systems, MS Office tools, and branch transaction equipment (e.g., cash counters, printers).
• Ability to follow standard operating procedures, internal controls, and regulatory guidelines related to cash handling and branch operations.
• Organizational and time management skills to process transactions efficiently, manage documentation, and meet daily cut-off times.
• Minimum of intermediate/associate-level education in business, commerce, finance, or a related field; higher education is an advantage.
• Prior experience in a bank branch, retail cash handling, or a customer-facing financial role is preferred but not mandatory.
• Integrity, reliability, and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality of customer and bank information.
