AI Engineer (Automation & Integrations)

BearPlex is hiring an AI Engineer to build automation and integrations on top of large language models.

We are a Lahore based software company with a team of 65+ engineers building web, mobile and AI products for clients in healthcare, fintech, e-commerce and HR SaaS.

This role is not research. You will not be training models. You will be using models that already exist to build things that work, and wiring them into real systems.

This is an on site role at our Lahore office.

What you will do:

• Build agents and automations on top of LLMs such as Claude and GPT, and ship them to production

• Wire models into real systems: APIs, webhooks, databases, internal tools and third party platforms

• Write the connective code that turns a model output into an action, with proper error handling and retries

• Design prompts and evaluate output quality, then iterate until the results are reliable enough to trust

• Automate internal and client workflows end to end, including document processing, data extraction and reporting

• Prototype quickly, show it working, then harden what proves useful

What we are looking for:

• 2 to 4 years of software engineering experience in any stack. Formal AI experience is not required

• Real projects you have built with LLMs that you can walk us through and demo

• Strong grasp of how APIs, authentication, webhooks and integrations actually work

• Comfortable with Python or JavaScript, and with reading documentation you have never seen before

• Experience with automation platforms such as n8n, Make or Zapier, or the ability to show you understand how those connections are built

• Excellent written and spoken English. You will be writing prompts, documentation and client updates

• Curiosity and speed. This field changes monthly and we want someone who keeps up

Nice to have:

• Experience with Claude Code, Cursor or similar AI coding tools in your daily workflow

• Familiarity with MCP, function calling, RAG or vector databases

• Browser automation, scraping or scripting experience

• Something you built for yourself that you actually use

• Salary of PKR 250,000 to 400,000 per month, depending on experience
