Project Delivery & Business Operations Manager – FinTech / Banking

Huawei is looking for an experienced Project Delivery & Business Operations Manager to lead major financial technology and banking platform projects in Pakistan.

This is a senior leadership position combining end-to-end project delivery, platform operations, team management, business operations, and stakeholder management.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in banking, digital banking, financial platforms or FinTech, with proven experience delivering complex technology projects and managing cross-functional teams.

The role will involve close engagement with banking institutions, partners, regulatory stakeholders, CEO and senior management, making strong communication, business understanding and leadership capabilities essential.

Key Responsibilities

Project Delivery

• Take end-to-end ownership of major financial platform and banking technology projects, from initiation and planning through implementation, acceptance and final delivery. • Develop project plans, milestones, resource requirements, budgets and delivery governance. • Monitor project progress, quality, cost and timelines to ensure successful delivery. • Identify project risks and bottlenecks early and develop effective mitigation and resolution plans. • Coordinate technology, operations, finance, risk, delivery and external partner teams. • Prepare regular project performance reports and management dashboards. • Drive continuous improvement of project delivery processes and methodologies. Platform Operations & Maintenance • Lead the day-to-day operation and maintenance of financial platforms. • Ensure platform stability, availability, security and operational performance. • Manage maintenance teams and ensure timely completion of operational activities. • Monitor platform performance and coordinate resolution of operational issues. • Maintain regular communication and reporting with internal teams and external clients. Business Operations • Develop and implement medium- and long-term business operation strategies for financial platforms. • Optimize business processes and improve operational efficiency and service quality. • Analyze business and operational data to identify improvement opportunities. • Develop user operation and lifecycle management strategies to improve customer activity, retention and engagement. • Support business growth through effective operational planning and execution. Banking & FinTech Business Development • Work closely with banking institutions and financial-sector partners to identify business opportunities. • Support development and expansion of financial technology solutions in the Pakistan market. • Conduct market research and analyze industry trends, customer requirements and competitive dynamics. • Support localized branding, marketing and business development initiatives. • Develop relationships with banks, financial institutions, technology partners and other ecosystem stakeholders. Leadership & Stakeholder Management • Lead and develop a 10 member cross-functional delivery and operations team. • Manage team performance, resource allocation, capability development and succession planning. • Act as a senior point of contact for customers and external stakeholders. • Regularly engage with CEO and senior management and provide strategic business and project updates. • Translate complex project and operational issues into clear business recommendations for senior leadership. • Build strong relationships with banking institutions, partners and relevant external stakeholders.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Business Administration, Finance or a related field. • Master's degree/MBA is preferred. Professional Experience • 8 years of relevant experience in banking, FinTech, digital banking, financial platforms, banking technology or related industries. • Proven experience in major financial platform, banking transformation, digital banking or financial technology projects. • Experience managing projects from initiation through implementation, acceptance and production launch. • Experience managing cross-functional teams of 10 people. • Previous experience as a Project Manager, Program Manager, Delivery Manager, Operations Manager, FinTech Manager or similar senior role is preferred. Project Management • Strong experience in large-scale project delivery and stakeholder management. • Proven ability to manage project risks, resources, budgets, timelines and quality. • Strong understanding of project governance and delivery methodologies. • PMP, PRINCE2 or equivalent project management certification is required. Banking / FinTech Knowledge Candidates should have a good understanding of areas such as:
