Senior Java Spring Boot Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Java Spring Boot Engineer (onsite Lahore) to design, build, and maintain scalable backend systems for transaction-heavy applications. Apply at [email protected] Key Responsibilities: Backend Development & Architecture → Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Java 17 and Spring Boot → Build and evolve RESTful APIs with proper validation, versioning, and error handling → Implement features using Clean Architecture and strong domain separation → Work within modular or layered architectures, following established design patterns → Take full ownership of features from requirements to prod support Database & Data Management → Design and optimize MySQL schemas, indexes, and queries → Manage database schema evolution and data versioning using Liquibase → Execute safe and predictable database migrations across multiple environments → Ensure transactional consistency and data integrity in concurrent systems Performance, Caching & Messaging → Implement and optimize Redis-based caching strategies to improve performance → Work with RabbitMQ or other message queues for asynchronous processing → Design & maintain background jobs and schedulers → Diagnose and resolve performance bottlenecks, race conditions, and production issues Security, Reliability & Observability → Implement and maintain backend security using Spring Security → Apply best practices for authentication, authorization, and API security → Maintain auditing, logging, and monitoring to ensure traceability and system reliability DevOps & Environment Management → Work with Docker and Docker Compose for deployments → Collaborate on CI/CD pipelines → Manage environment-specific configurations → Support automated deployment and maintenance scripts Collaboration & Engineering Practices → Participate actively in code reviews, design discussions, and technical planning → Work closely with frontend, mobile, QA, and DevOps teams → Contribute to improving code quality, documentation, and engineering standards Core Technical Requirements: → 3+ years of professional backend experience with Java and Spring Boot → Deep experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security, and Spring Scheduling → Strong SQL skills with MySQL (query optimization, indexing, performance tuning) → Hands-on experience with Liquibase for database migrations using Redis → Experience with RabbitMQ or message-driven architectures

→ Good working knowledge of modern AI tools for development like Claude → Solid understanding of concurrency, scalability, and system performance

Nice to Have Skills: → Experience with POS, retail, fintech, or high-transaction systems → Familiarity with Jakarta EE, Lombok, and interceptor-based designs → Exposure to microservices or distributed systems → Experience with CI/CD pipelines and build automation → Familiarity with cloud platforms → Knowledge of internationalization or multi-region deployments

Pay: Rs300,000.00 - Rs350,000.00 per month
