Trainee Mechanical Manufacturing Engineer

We are seeking a motivated Trainee Mechanical Manufacturing Engineer with a strong focus on prototyping to join our dynamic team. The Trainee Mechanical Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing and testing prototypes for new products. This role requires a creative problem solver with a strong technical background in mechanical design, materials science, and manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to bring concepts from initial idea to fully functional prototype, ensuring that designs meet all required specifications and standards.

Key Responsibilities • Design and Development: Create and refine mechanical designs using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA). • Prototyping: Build, test, and iterate on prototypes using 3D printers to validate design concepts and functionality. • Materials Selection: Identify and select appropriate materials for prototypes, considering factors such as durability, cost, and manufacturability. • Collaboration: Work closely with electrical engineers, industrial designers, and other team members to ensure seamless integration of mechanical components. • Testing and Validation: Conduct tests on prototypes to ensure they meet performance, durability, and safety standards. Analyze test results and make necessary design adjustments. • Documentation: Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and reports to document the design and development process. • Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest industry trends, tools and technologies to continuously improve design and prototyping processes.

Requirements • Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, or a related field. • Experience: 0-1 years of experience in mechanical manufacturing • Experience with rapid prototyping using 3D printing and CNC is highly desirable. • Technical Skills: Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks) • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex design challenges. • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present ideas clearly and effectively. • Team Player: Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
