Indochats is looking for a passionate and analytical Policy Maker to join our growing team and help shape policies for our evolving digital ecosystem.

As a Policy Maker, you’ll work at the intersection of technology, governance, regulation, and user interests. You’ll help us understand emerging policy challenges, develop practical frameworks, and ensure our policies support a safe, responsible, and sustainable platform.

Experience Required

We are looking for professionals with 5–10 years of relevant experience in:

• Public Policy

• Regulatory Affairs

• Policy Development

• Corporate Governance

• Legal & Compliance

• Technology / Internet Policy

• Government Relations

• Digital or Social Media Policy

Strong knowledge of Indian laws, regulations, government policies, and the Indian regulatory landscape is essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, review, and implement policies in line with Indian laws and regulations.

• Monitor changes in Indian legislation, government notifications, regulations, and regulatory frameworks.

• Assess the impact of new laws and regulations on the business and users.

• Develop practical policy frameworks for a digital/social communication platform.

• Work closely with Legal, Compliance, Product, Operations, and Leadership teams.

• Translate complex Indian legal and regulatory requirements into clear internal policies.

• Identify policy, regulatory, and compliance risks and recommend appropriate solutions.

• Support engagement with government bodies, regulators, industry associations, and other stakeholders.

• Keep the organization informed about emerging policy and regulatory developments.

• Contribute to responsible, transparent, and sustainable digital governance.

Ideal Candidate

• 5–10 years of relevant professional experience in policy, regulatory affairs, legal, governance, or a related field.

• Strong understanding of Indian laws and regulatory frameworks.

• Experience working on technology, internet, social media, digital platforms, telecom, or related policy matters is highly preferred.

• Strong research, analytical, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.

• Ability to interpret complex legislation and convert it into actionable policies.

• Experience working with government, regulators, legal teams, or industry bodies will be an advantage.
