Role Description The Patient Mediator is a full-time, on-site role based in Lahore, focused on supporting patients in navigating healthcare experiences and resolving concerns. Day-to-day responsibilities include listening to patient issues, clarifying needs, and mediating communication between patients, families, and healthcare providers. The role involves documenting cases, explaining procedures and options in clear language, and guiding patients through administrative processes such as appointments, referrals, and billing queries. The Patient Mediator will also identify recurring issues, provide feedback to relevant stakeholders, and contribute to improving patient-centered processes and service quality. Qualifications • Strong interpersonal, conflict resolution, and negotiation skills to mediate between patients and healthcare professionals. • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including active listening and the ability to explain complex information in accessible terms. • Organizational and administrative skills for case documentation, follow-up, and managing multiple patient inquiries. • Empathy, emotional resilience, and cultural sensitivity when working with individuals from diverse backgrounds. • Basic understanding of healthcare processes, patient rights, and confidentiality requirements. • Ability to work on-site in Lahore, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and maintain professional boundaries. • Relevant education in social work, psychology, counseling, healthcare administration, or a related field is preferred. • Prior experience in patient advocacy, customer service, mediation, or a healthcare setting is an advantage.
