AI Engineering Lead / Technical Lead - Karachi

Job Summary: We are looking for an experienced AI Engineering Lead / Technical Lead to lead our development team and drive the adoption of AI-native software engineering and automation across our development lifecycle.

The ideal candidate will be a strong hands-on software engineer with experience in .NET, Angular, SQL Server and modern AI coding/agentic tools, capable of building features rapidly, optimizing existing applications, and creating AI-driven workflows for development, testing, debugging, code review, migrations and CI/CD.

Key Responsibilities: • Lead, mentor and technically guide the development team while remaining hands-on. • Design, develop and review scalable, secure and maintainable software solutions. • Use AI coding agents and agentic workflows to accelerate feature and module development. • Build AI-driven workflows for ticket analysis, coding, testing, debugging, code review, builds and deployments. • Optimize existing applications, identify technical debt and improve performance, architecture and maintainability. • Lead AI-assisted application modernization, refactoring and migrations. • Develop complete features across database, backend, APIs and frontend using AI-assisted engineering. • Implement automated testing and AI-assisted bug detection, root-cause analysis and fixing. • Integrate AI into Git/GitLab, CI/CD and Pull Request workflows. • Continuously identify repetitive engineering activities that can be automated through AI. • Establish coding standards, architecture guidelines and engineering best practices. • Troubleshoot complex technical and production issues. • Work closely with QA, Product, Customer Success and Operations teams to ensure successful delivery.

Required Qualifications & Experience: • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT or a related field. • 5+ years of professional software development experience, including technical leadership experience. • Strong hands-on experience with C#, .NET / ASP.NET Core, Web APIs and SQL Server. • Strong experience with Angular and TypeScript. • Strong understanding of software architecture, SOLID principles, design patterns and API development. • Strong experience with Git/GitLab, CI/CD, debugging and performance optimization. • Experience working with existing/legacy applications, modernization and migrations. • Proven experience leading, mentoring and technically guiding developers.

AI & Agentic Engineering Skills:

Hands-on experience with AI coding agents, AI-assisted development, LLM APIs, agent orchestration, MCP, RAG, AI-powered testing, AI code review, automated debugging, AI-assisted migrations and agentic CI/CD.

Experience with Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, OpenAI coding/agent systems, Cline, Roo Code, Aider or equivalent tools will be highly preferred.
