Senior IT Support Engineer

Job Title: Senior IT Support Engineer Location: Sector I-11/3 , Islamabad, Pakistan (Islamabad-based candidates preferred) Experience Required: 3–5 Years Job Type: Full-Time

Working Hours: 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM

Note: Rotational support or extended hours may be required based on operational requirements.

Job Summary: We are looking for a skilled and experienced Senior IT Support Engineer to manage and support company IT infrastructure, end-user systems, networking, servers, and security operations. The ideal candidate should have strong troubleshooting abilities, hands-on experience with Windows/Linux environments, networking, virtualization, and IT support operations.

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities

1. Provide Level 2/Level 3 technical support for hardware, software, and network related issues

2. Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and other IT equipment

3. Manage Windows and Linux servers

4. Monitor and troubleshoot network connectivity, VPNs, switches, routers, and firewalls

5. Handle Active Directory, user accounts, permissions, and group policies

6. Support virtualization platforms such as VMware, HyperV, or Proxmox

7. Manage backups, antivirus solutions, and system security

8. Troubleshoot email services, Microsoft 365, and related applications

9. Maintain IT inventory, documentation, and asset records

10. Coordinate with vendors and service providers when required

11. Ensure smooth daytoday IT operations across the organization

12. Support VoIP/IP telephony systems when needed

Required Skills:

1. Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems

2. Good understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, Firewall, Routing)

3. Experience with server management and troubleshooting

4. Handson experience with virtualization technologies

5. Knowledge of Microsoft 365 and email systems

6. Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills

7. Ability to work independently and handle pressure situations.

Preferred Skills

1. Experience with Cisco, MikroTik, or Fortinet devices

2. Knowledge of backup and disaster recovery solutions

3. Experience with monitoring tools and ticketing systems

4. Basic understanding of cyber security best practices

5. Experience with cloud services is a plus

Education: Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in IT, Computer Science, or related field preferred.

Salary: 75,000Rs- 100,000Rs (Based on Skills and Experience)

Pay: Rs75,000.00 - Rs100,000.00 per month
