Job Description
The Mechanical Engineer/Technician will be responsible for managing and performing mechanical engineering and maintenance activities at the plant. The role will ensure the efficient and reliable operation of plant machinery and equipment, minimize equipment downtime, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Hands-on practical experience is mandatory. The candidate must be capable of personally performing major mechanical maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, fabrication, and modification work whenever required. The position is not limited to supervision; the candidate must be willing and able to work directly on machinery and equipment.
Key Responsibilities

Carry out preventive, predictive, and corrective mechanical maintenance of plant machinery and equipment.

Personally perform major mechanical maintenance and repair work whenever required.

Troubleshoot and rectify mechanical faults quickly to minimize production downtime.

Handle maintenance and troubleshooting of heavy-duty mixers, pumps, gearboxes/gears, air compressors, and other industrial machinery.

Supervise and personally perform mechanical machine-shop activities, including machining, repair, fitting, and maintenance work.

Perform and manage mechanical fabrication, machine modification, development, installation, and improvement activities.

Analyze recurring equipment problems and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.

Ensure proper alignment, lubrication, fitting, and overall condition of mechanical components.

Coordinate with Production, Electrical, and other departments to ensure smooth plant operations.

Maintain proper records of maintenance activities, breakdowns, spare parts, and preventive maintenance.

Coordinate with vendors and contractors for specialized mechanical repair and maintenance work.

Ensure the availability and proper use of mechanical tools, equipment, and spare parts.

Lead the mechanical maintenance team and guide technicians in daily maintenance activities.

Follow and ensure compliance with plant safety procedures and safe working practices.
Required Technical Experience

Preferred Experience
Experience in FMCG, Cosmetics, Chemicals, Pharmaceuticals, or other process/manufacturing plants will be preferred.

Pay: Rs70,000.00 - Rs90,000.00 per month
