About the Role

Mark Associates is looking for a qualified and detail-oriented Structural Engineer to lead the structural analysis, design, and site implementation for our ongoing architectural and interior projects. The candidate will work closely with our architects and project managers to ensure all structural designs are efficient, safe, cost-effective, and fully compliant with local building codes.

Key Responsibilities • Structural Analysis & Design: Perform structural calculations and design frameworks for reinforced concrete (RCC) and steel structures, including foundations, beams, columns, slabs, and retaining walls. • Drawings & Detailing: Generate and review structural working drawings, rebar schedules (BBS), structural connection details, and load-bearing layout plans. • Architectural Coordination: Collaborate closely with architectural teams to integrate structural solutions seamlessly with complex spatial and interior designs without compromising aesthetics. • Site Supervision & Quality Assurance: Conduct regular site inspections to verify rebar placement, concrete pouring, load tests, and structural integrity according to approved structural drawings. • Vetting & Compliance: Ensure all structural design calculations adhere to the Building Code of Pakistan (BCP), ACI codes, and local authority requirements (e.g., CDA/RDA).

Requirements & Qualifications • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (B.Sc. Civil Engineering / B.E.). Master’s degree (M.Sc. Structural Engineering) is a plus. • Registration: Valid registration with the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC). • Experience: 3+ years of practical experience in structural design and site execution for residential, commercial, and multi-story buildings. • Software Expertise (Required): • Structural Analysis: ETABS, SAFE, SAP2000 • Drafting: AutoCAD (expert level for structural detailing) • General Tools: MS Excel (for customized design sheets/calculations) • Technical Skills: Strong understanding of soil mechanics, foundation engineering, seismic design principles, and material strength optimization. • Soft Skills: Problem-solving mindset, clear technical communication, and the ability to supervise on-site teams effectively.
