Are you an experienced Medical Billing & AR Professional looking to advance your career with a growing team? Meds IT Nexus is hiring a Senior AR Specialist to manage complex claims, oversee high-priority denials, lead insurance appeals, and optimize cash flow for our US-based clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end AR management and conduct advanced follow-ups on high-value, aged, or complex unpaid claims.

• Review patient claims for accuracy, coding compliance, and completeness prior to submission to minimize billing rejections.

• Identify, investigate, and resolve challenging payment discrepancies, underpayments, and complex claim denials.

• Draft, compile, and submit formal Level 1 and Level 2 appeals to insurance carriers supported by necessary clinical and billing documentation.

• Verify insurance payments against contractual discount rates for Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payers to identify underpaid accounts.

• Manage secondary and tertiary insurance billing processes and handle escalated inquiries from patients and insurance representatives.

• Generate advanced daily/weekly AR trend analyses, research summaries, and management performance reports using MS Excel.

• Mentor junior billing associates, assist with floor escalations, and maintain clear communication with Team Leads and Managers.

Requirements

• Experience: 3+ years of proven experience as a Senior AR Specialist in US Medical Billing, AR Follow-up, Denial Management, and Appeals.

• Software Skills: Advanced hands-on experience with major EHR/Billing platforms (AdvancedMD, eClinicalWorks, Kareo/Tebra, Practice Fusion, OfficeAlly, EncoderPro, and Payer Portals).

• Technical Proficiency: Strong MS Excel skills (pivot tables, data sorting, reporting formulas), web faxing tools, and fast typing speed.

• Domain Knowledge: In-depth understanding of CPT/ICD-10/HCPCS coding, insurance guidelines (Medicare, Medicaid, Commercial), and prior authorization workflows.

• Communication & Soft Skills: Excellent written and verbal English communication, strong analytical thinking, and problem-solving capabilities.
