Account Receivable Specialist (Medical Billing)

Are you an experienced Medical Billing & Accounts Receivable Professional looking to advance your career with a growing team? Meds IT Nexus is hiring a Accounts Receivable Specialist to manage end-to-end billing operations, denial management, and insurance appeals for our US-based clients.

Key Responsibilities • Review patient claims for accuracy, completeness, and missing billing details before submission. • Perform end-to-end Accounts Receivable follow-ups on unpaid or aged claims within standard cycle times. • Identify, investigate, and resolve payment discrepancies, underpayments, and denials. • Draft and submit formal appeals to insurance carriers with proper documentation. • Verify insurance payments against contract discounts for Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payers. • Identify and bill secondary/tertiary insurances and handle patient or insurance phone inquiries. • Generate detailed daily/weekly Accounts Receivable research and management performance reports using MS Excel. • Maintain accurate task documentation and clear communication with Team Leads and Managers.

Requirements • Experience: Proven background in US Medical Billing, Accounts Receivable Follow-up, and Denial Management. • Software Skills: Hands-on experience with EHR/Billing platforms (AdvancedMD, eClinicalWorks, Kareo/Tebra, Practice Fusion, OfficeAlly, EncoderPro, Payer Portals). • Technical Proficiency: Strong MS Excel skills, web faxing tools, and fast typing speed. • Knowledge: Solid understanding of CPT/ICD-10 coding, insurance guidelines (Medicare/Medicaid), and prior authorizations. • Communication: Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
