Job Description

• Digitize manual garment patterns using CAD software. • Prepare, edit, grade, and verify digital patterns according to production requirements. • Operate plotter machines for accurate pattern printing. • Develop efficient marker plans to optimize fabric consumption. • Check pattern measurements, notches, grain lines, and seam allowances for accuracy. • Coordinate with the Design, Merchandising, Pattern Making, and Production teams regarding pattern revisions. • Maintain organized digital records of patterns, markers, and production files. • Troubleshoot minor plotter and CAD-related issues and coordinate maintenance when required. • Ensure all plotting activities meet quality standards and production deadlines. • Follow company SOPs, quality standards, and workplace safety procedures. • Assist in sample development and production pattern modifications when required. • Continuously identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce material wastage.

Qualifications • Intermediate, Diploma, Bachelor's degree, or equivalent qualification.

Experience • 5–6 years of relevant experience in apparel manufacturing or the garment industry. • Experience with garment pattern digitizing and marker making is essential.

Technical Skills • Proficiency in CAD software such as Gerber, Lectra, Tukatech, Optitex, or similar. • Knowledge of garment construction and pattern making. • Strong understanding of grading, marker planning, and fabric utilization. • Ability to operate industrial plotter machines. • Good computer skills (MS Office).

Soft Skills • Strong attention to detail. • Excellent problem-solving skills. • Good communication and coordination abilities. • Ability to work under pressure and meet production deadlines. • Team player with a positive attitude.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) • Pattern digitizing accuracy. • Marker efficiency and fabric utilization. • Plotting turnaround time. • Number of pattern errors/revisions. • On-time completion of production requirements. • Compliance with quality standards. • Machine uptime and operational efficiency. • Certification in CAD Pattern Making or Garment Technology will be an added advantage.
