Job Description

Experience Level: 3–6 years

Type: Full-time · Onsite

Location: Islamabad

Reports to: CEO/CFO

About the Role

We’re looking for an Manager – Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) who can go beyond reporting the numbers and help us understand what they mean, where we’re headed, and what decisions we should make next.

Working directly with the CEO/CFO, you’ll sit close to some of Mohsyn’s most important financial and strategic decisions. You’ll play a key role in financial planning, forecasting, performance analysis, and management reporting, while also getting meaningful exposure to investor relations, equity management, and future funding rounds.

This isn’t a finance role where you’ll simply maintain spreadsheets and report what happened last month. We’re looking for someone who can connect financial data with the bigger picture, challenge assumptions, build scenarios, and turn numbers into insights that help leadership make better decisions.

As Mohsyn grows, you’ll also help build the financial models, reporting rhythms, and planning discipline needed to scale sustainably.

What You’ll Do • Own and continuously improve Mohsyn’s financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes, including annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and long-term financial projections. • Build and maintain dynamic financial models covering revenue, costs, profitability, cash flow, headcount, growth assumptions, and capital requirements. • Track actual performance against budgets and forecasts, investigate variances, identify underlying business drivers, and translate findings into clear recommendations for the CEO/CFO. • Develop scenario and sensitivity models to help leadership understand the financial implications of strategic decisions, investments, growth plans, and changing market conditions. • Monitor cash flow, liquidity, burn rate, and runway, helping leadership anticipate capital requirements and make informed resource-allocation decisions. • Support Mohsyn’s fundraising strategy and future funding rounds, including financial planning, capital requirement analysis, valuation support, and fundraising scenarios. • Prepare and maintain investor-ready financial models, financial narratives, presentations, data rooms, and due-diligence information for existing and prospective investors. • Support the CEO/CFO with investor relations, including investor updates, financial performance reports, presentations, information requests, and ongoing investor communication. • Support equity and capitalization management, including cap-table tracking, dilution modelling, fundraising scenarios, and analysis of potential investment structures. • Partner with leadership to evaluate business cases, new initiatives, investments, pricing decisions, expansion opportunities, and other strategic projects from a financial and commercial perspective. • Develop management dashboards and reporting that give leadership a clear view of the metrics that matter — including revenue, margins, cash position, burn, runway, profitability, and other key business drivers. • Work closely with Accounting and other teams to ensure management reporting is accurate, timely, and aligned with underlying financial statements. • Help establish stronger financial controls, planning processes, reporting standards, and decision-making frameworks as Mohsyn continues to scale. • Conduct ad-hoc financial and commercial analysis for the CEO/CFO, turning complex information into clear, decision-ready recommendations.

What We’re Looking For

Must Have • 3–6 years of relevant experience across FP&A, corporate finance, strategic finance, investment banking, transaction advisory, venture-backed businesses, or a similar finance role. • Strong hands-on experience with financial modelling, budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and management reporting. • Strong understanding of the three financial statements and how operational and strategic decisions flow through the P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statement. • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets, with the ability to build robust financial models from the ground up rather than simply maintain existing templates. • Strong commercial thinking — you can look beyond accounting numbers and understand the underlying business drivers behind them. • Ability to translate complex financial analysis into simple, actionable insights for senior leadership. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail. • Strong written and verbal communication skills, particularly when presenting financial information to senior and non-finance stakeholders. • Comfortable working directly with senior leadership, challenging assumptions constructively, and taking ownership with relatively little hand-holding. • Comfortable operating in a primarily remote environment, with the discipline, ownership, and communication required to stay aligned and deliver independently.

Nice to Have • Previous exposure to fundraising, venture capital, private equity, investment banking, or investor relations. • Experience supporting an equity funding round, including financial modelling, investor materials, due diligence, or data-room management. • Familiarity with valuation methodologies, cap tables, dilution modelling, term sheets, and equity structures. • Experience working in a startup, technology company, high-growth business, or investor-backed organisation. • Experience preparing board packs, investor updates, pitch decks, or executive-level financial presentations. • Familiarity with financial reporting, BI, ERP, or accounting tools, along with an interest in using AI and automation to make finance processes faster and smarter.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related discipline.

ACCA, CA/CA Inter, CFA, MBA Finance, or another relevant professional qualification would be a strong plus.

Why Join Us

At Mohsyn, we hire the best — and then trust them to do what they do best. No micromanagement, no unnecessary layers. Just ownership, autonomy, and the freedom to make an impact.

Every voice matters here, and in this role, yours will be close to some of the most important conversations shaping Mohsyn’s future. Working directly with the CEO/CFO, you’ll have visibility into how we plan, invest, grow, and make decisions — helping turn financial data into insights that influence where the business goes next.

Your impact will extend well beyond budgets, forecasts, and financial models. From helping us understand where to deploy capital, to preparing for funding rounds, managing investor relationships, and building the financial foundations for sustainable growth, your work will help give Mohsyn the confidence and clarity to make bigger, better decisions.

And while this role may sit behind the numbers, the purpose behind those numbers is very human. Mohsyn exists to make a meaningful difference in the lives of the people we care for, many of whom are elderly. Every better financial decision, every investment secured, and every growth opportunity thoughtfully evaluated helps us build a stronger, more sustainable Mohsyn — one capable of reaching and caring for more people. There’s a special kind of fulfilment in knowing that the models you build and the decisions you help shape ultimately contribute to something much bigger than a spreadsheet.

And you won’t be sitting on the sidelines. From early on, you’ll get real problems to own, important decisions to influence, and direct exposure to the people making them. We’ll give you the space to challenge assumptions, introduce better ways of doing things, and bring your ideas to the table — with the support to learn quickly and the opportunity to grow as fast as your ambition takes you.

We believe exceptional people do exceptional work when they feel trusted, supported, heard, and excited about where they work. That’s the kind of team we’re building at Mohsyn: collaborative, curious, low on ego, big on ownership, and high on impact.
