Job OverviewWe are looking for a technically competent and commercially aware Mechanical Engineer with 2–3 years of relevant experience in technical procurement, supplier sourcing, and tender-based business in Pakistan’s construction or engineering sector.

The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of engineering products, the ability to source materials and equipment that meet technical specifications, and experience working with suppliers, manufacturers, and contractors. Familiarity with the Pakistani tendering process and the preparation of technical and commercial submissions is essential.

Key Responsibilities • Source mechanical equipment, engineering materials, tools, and construction-related products in accordance with project specifications and tender requirements. • Identify, evaluate, and develop relationships with reliable suppliers, manufacturers, distributors, and vendors across Pakistan. • Review technical specifications, BOQs, drawings, and tender documents to ensure compliance with required standards. • Obtain and compare supplier quotations, negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, payment terms, and warranty conditions. • Ensure all sourced products meet the required technical specifications, quality standards, and project requirements. • Prepare technical compliance statements, comparative statements, and material submittals. • Assist in preparing technical and commercial bids for government and private-sector tenders. • Develop and maintain a supplier database, including pricing, product availability, lead times, and supplier performance. • Coordinate with project teams, contractors, consultants, and procurement departments to clarify technical requirements. • Follow up on purchase orders, deliveries, documentation, and after-sales support. • Monitor market prices and identify cost-effective sourcing opportunities without compromising technical compliance. Required Qualifications & Experience • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. • 2–3 years of relevant experience in technical procurement, engineering supplies, construction, or tender-based business in Pakistan. • Practical knowledge of the Pakistani tender market, including government and private-sector procurement processes. • Experience sourcing engineering products and equipment against detailed technical specifications. • Ability to understand BOQs, technical datasheets, drawings, and tender documentation. • Good knowledge of supplier evaluation, quotation comparison, price negotiation, and technical compliance. • Strong communication and relationship-management skills. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and preparation of technical and commercial documents. Preferred ExperienceCandidates with experience in any of the following areas will be preferred: • Mechanical and MEP equipment and supplies. • Pumps, motors, valves, piping, HVAC, fire-fighting systems, and industrial equipment. • Construction materials and engineering project supplies. • Government tenders, procurement portals, and contractor/vendor networks in Pakistan. • Technical bid preparation, compliance documentation, and BOQ-based procurement.
