IB DP History Teacher
Location: Baghdad, Iraq
Start date: November 2026
Salary and benefits: Up to $4000 per month, plus benefits
Contract: Up to 3 years
MZ Talent Group is recruiting an experienced IB Diploma Programme History Teacher on behalf of an international school.
We are looking for an engaging educator who can build students’ historical knowledge, encourage independent thinking and prepare them for success in IB assessments.
Key responsibilities • Plan and deliver engaging IB DP History lessons at Higher and Standard Level. • Develop students’ source analysis, research and essay-writing skills. • Prepare students for examinations and guide their Internal Assessments in line with IB requirements. • Monitor progress and provide clear, constructive feedback. • Supervise History Extended Essays where required. • Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to the wider school community. • Uphold safeguarding standards and promote student wellbeing.
Essential requirements • A bachelor’s degree in History or a closely related subject. • At least five years’ experience teaching IB DP History. • Experience guiding students through at least one complete DP examination cycle. • Strong knowledge of the IB History curriculum, assessment criteria and academic integrity requirements. • Excellent communication and classroom management skills. • Availability to start in November 2026.
