Medical Officer (For School)
Job Description
Key Responsibilities • Provide first aid and basic medical treatment to students and staff during school hours. • Assess and manage medical emergencies and coordinate referrals to hospitals or specialists when required. • Maintain accurate medical records, health logs, and confidential student health files. • Monitor students with chronic medical conditions and administer prescribed medications as authorized. • Conduct routine health screenings and assist in organizing vaccination and health awareness programs. • Educate students and staff on hygiene, nutrition, disease prevention, and healthy lifestyle practices. • Ensure the school clinic is fully equipped with essential medicines, first aid supplies, and emergency equipment. • Maintain infection prevention and control measures within the school premises. • Coordinate with parents regarding students' health concerns and follow-up care when necessary. • Prepare monthly reports on clinic activities, health incidents, and inventory of medical supplies. • Ensure compliance with school policies, health regulations, and emergency response procedures. • Perform any other duties assigned by the School Administration related to student health and wellbeing.
Qualifications • MBBS from a recognized institution. • Valid PMDC registration. • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) will be an added advantage.
