Junior Executive VAS Planning

Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Telecommunication/IT engineering or equivalent.

Experience: 4-5 years relevant experience

Responsibilities & Authorities:

• To carry out business requirement analysis for the 3G/4G planning & preparation of technical proposals, to design the VAS network nodes & signaling solutions along with value based services plan.

• Effectively manage VAS network systems capacity in terms of system hardware, software and licenses with the purpose to avoid potential capacity breaches.

• Also manage the network resources in such a way to ensure network redundancy, resource optimization and reduce CAPEX/OPEX.

• Ensuring the plan for meeting yearly VAS capacity targets/projects.

• Preparation of RFP, BOQ verifications, Technical evaluation of vendor proposals, vendor equipment analysis, negotiation and obtaining necessary EMT approvals.

• Do regular traffic analysis for forecasting required capacities on ZTE / Huawei’s SMSC, USSD, MCA, SCP, PS Core, CRBT, WAP GW and other VAS nodes.

• Preparation of system impact document detailing potential influences of the proposed project onto the existing network, towards identifying possible associated changes in the network.

• Prepare technical specification requirement write up by covering all aspects of the newly floated idea, towards forming basis for the Technical Requirement Specifications (TRS).

• Defining the contract scope to achieve the work scope among the multiple stakeholders. Complete end to end contract management, signing and handover to O&M Implementation team for implementation.

• Regular co-ordination with implementation during project execution and implementation. Eligibility Criteria (Qualification, Experience & Skills).

• Perform price negotiations with the vendors for equipment purchase and meeting the budgetary costs.

• Running calculations to interpret resource requirement for capacity requirement and congestion relief.

• Planning and dimensioning of the equipment to best utilize the hardware and software resources in the network.

• Regular report production for a variety of planning related activities including project feasibility studies, project trackers etc. for management.

• Support marketing for IN & VAS 3rd party’s integration

• Analyze marketing requirements & engage other departments/vendor(s) where needed for implementation keeping a close eye on service quality.
