Assistant Production Engineer

SOGO Group of Companies is seeking a motivated and detail oriented Assistant Production Engineer to join our manufacturing operations at Port Qasim, Karachi. This opportunity is ideal for fresh graduates or candidates with up to one year of experience who are eager to build a career in electronics manufacturing, quality assurance, and production operations.

Our manufacturing facilities are involved in the production and assembly of kitchen appliances, solar products, consumer electronics, Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), and other electrical and electronic products.

Key Responsibilities • Support and monitor production and assembly operations to ensure efficiency, quality, and process compliance. • Perform functional testing, inspection, and verification of products during and after production. • Assist in implementing and maintaining Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) procedures. • Identify production defects and participate in root cause analysis and corrective action implementation. • Troubleshoot and repair electronic products, assemblies, and production-related issues when required. • Maintain quality records, testing reports, and production documentation. • Assist in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, efficiency, and product quality. • Coordinate with production teams to ensure adherence to quality and manufacturing standards. • Prepare and submit daily production, testing, and quality performance reports. • Assist in developing and updating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and quality documentation. • Support production planning and ensure timely completion of assigned tasks.

Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electronics Engineering. • Fresh graduate or up to 1 year of relevant experience. • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem solving skills. • Good reporting, documentation, and communication abilities. • Understanding of electronics manufacturing, assembly, testing, and production processes will be an advantage. • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel and reporting tools. • Ability to work in a fast paced manufacturing environment and learn quickly.
