Civil Design Engineer

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Civil Design Engineer to join our Engineering & Design team, specializing in Telecom Towers, High-Rise Structures, and associated infrastructure.

The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in end-to-end structural and architectural design, including design calculations, structural analysis, drawing preparation, design verification, and compliance with applicable codes, standards, and project requirements.

The candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all designs are structurally safe, technically sound, constructible, and compliant before final approval and implementation.

Key Responsibilities • Develop and review end-to-end structural designs for telecom towers, rooftop structures, monopoles, lattice towers, high-rise structures, equipment platforms, foundations, and related infrastructure. • Perform structural analysis and design considering dead loads, live loads, wind loads, seismic loads, equipment loads, environmental conditions, and other applicable loading criteria. • Conduct wind pressure, wind load, tower loading, foundation, stability, and structural capacity assessments as required. • Prepare and review structural calculations, design reports, structural drawings, details, and specifications. • Ensure designs comply with applicable building codes, structural standards, client specifications, and regulatory requirements. • Coordinate with Architectural, Electrical, MEP, Survey, and Project teams to ensure integrated and practical designs. • Review site survey and structural assessment reports and incorporate site-specific requirements into final designs. • Assess existing towers and structures for additional loading, strengthening, modification, and equipment installation. • Design and review tower foundations, anchor bolts, base plates, structural connections, reinforcement details, and other civil/structural components. • Review architectural layouts and ensure structural designs are aligned with functional and construction requirements. • Perform independent design checks and ensure all critical design parameters are verified before final submission. • Review contractor/vendor designs, shop drawings, calculations, and technical submissions for compliance. • Provide technical solutions for structural challenges identified during design or construction. • Prepare BOQs, material specifications, design notes, and technical documentation where required. • Support site teams by providing technical clarification and resolving design-related issues during project execution. • Maintain proper records of design calculations, revisions, approvals, and technical correspondence.

Key Design Checks

The selected candidate will be expected to ensure that critical parameters are properly assessed before design finalization, including: • Wind pressure and wind loading • Seismic considerations • Structural member capacity • Tower stability and deflection • Equipment and antenna loading • Foundation capacity and stability • Soil and site conditions • Connection and anchor bolt design • Structural fatigue considerations where applicable • Existing structure capacity and strengthening requirements • Applicable safety factors and design criteria • Constructability and site implementation requirements

Qualification • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering / Structural Engineering. • Architectural Engineering candidates with strong structural design experience may also apply. • Master's degree in Structural Engineering will be an added advantage.

Experience • 3–7 years of relevant experience in structural/civil design. • Hands-on experience in Telecom Towers, High-Rise Buildings, Steel Structures, or Infrastructure Projects is strongly preferred.

Required Technical Skills • Strong understanding of structural analysis and design principles. • Proficiency in relevant design and structural analysis software such as STAAD.Pro, ETABS, SAP2000, AutoCAD, or equivalent tools. • Strong knowledge of structural drawings, engineering calculations, BOQs, and technical specifications. • Understanding of applicable international/local structural and building codes and standards. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Excellent technical documentation and reporting skills.

Preferred Candidate Profile

We are looking for a design-focused professional who can independently take a project from site data/survey → structural analysis → design calculations → drawings → design verification → client/consultant approval → construction support.

Candidates with proven experience in Telecom Tower Structural Design, Tower Strengthening, Rooftop Structures, High-Rise Buildings, Wind Load Analysis, Foundation Design, and Structural Assessment will be highly preferred.

Pay: Rs100,000.00 - Rs150,000.00 per month
