Job Description
Position Purpose
The Instructor – Related Studies is responsible for planning, preparing, and delivering high-quality instruction in related/general studies subjects that complement students’ technical and vocational education. The role focuses on developing students’ academic knowledge, communication skills, professional competencies, critical thinking, and workplace readiness in accordance with the organization’s curriculum and educational standards.
Key Responsibilities • Plan and deliver engaging, student-centered lessons in assigned related studies subjects. • Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, presentations, assignments, assessments, and other instructional resources. • Deliver courses in areas such as English, communication skills, mathematics, computer literacy, professional ethics, workplace behavior, entrepreneurship, life skills, or other subjects assigned by management. • Explain concepts clearly and adapt teaching methods according to students’ learning needs and abilities. • Integrate practical examples, activities, discussions, case studies, and technology into classroom instruction. • Assess students’ learning through quizzes, assignments, presentations, examinations, practical activities, and other appropriate assessment methods. • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, academic performance, assessments, and progress. • Provide constructive feedback and academic support to students to help improve their performance. • Identify students who require additional academic support and provide appropriate guidance or refer them to relevant support services. • Promote discipline, professionalism, teamwork, respect, and positive behavior within the learning environment. • Develop students’ communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, critical-thinking, and workplace-readiness skills. • Connect related studies with students’ technical training and future employment requirements. • Encourage students to apply classroom knowledge to real-life and workplace situations. • Participate in curriculum review and provide feedback regarding course content, teaching methods, and students’ learning needs. • Keep teaching materials and subject knowledge updated according to emerging industry and educational requirements. • Maintain a safe, inclusive, respectful, and supportive classroom environment. • Participate in staff meetings, academic activities, workshops, training programs, examinations, and institutional events. • Collaborate with other instructors and departments to ensure effective delivery of integrated learning programs. • Communicate effectively with students, colleagues, parents/guardians, and management where required. • Ensure compliance with institutional policies, academic procedures, quality standards, and applicable education guidelines. • Maintain professional development by attending relevant training, workshops, seminars, and learning activities. • Perform any other academic or administrative responsibilities assigned by the management.
Required Qualifications & Experience • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, English, Mathematics, Social Sciences, Business, or a relevant subject area. • Teaching qualification/certification will be an advantage. • Relevant teaching or training experience, preferably in vocational, technical, secondary, or higher education. • Strong communication, presentation, classroom management, and interpersonal skills. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital learning tools. • Ability to work effectively with students from diverse educational and social backgrounds.
Pay: Rs19,188.09 - Rs104,864.81 per month
