Mechanical Engineer - Pneumatics

About the Role
Yaqeen Group is seeking a Mechanical Engineer with strong expertise in industrial pneumatic systems to maintain compressed-air infrastructure and pneumatic controls across the production floor — supporting printing, die cutting, and finishing operations plant-wide.
Key Responsibilities • Maintain and troubleshoot plant-wide pneumatic systems, including air compressors, receivers, dryers, and filtration units • Install, repair, and maintain pneumatic circuits: cylinders, solenoid valves, FRL (filter-regulator-lubricator) units, tubing, and fittings • Ensure consistent, adequate air pressure supply to all production machines • Carry out preventive maintenance of compressors (screw/reciprocating type) per schedule • Identify and repair air leakages to improve system efficiency and reduce energy costs • Coordinate with electrical/instrumentation staff on solenoid valves, sensors, and control-related issues • Maintain compressor running-hour logs and service records • Ensure safety compliance while working with pressurized systems and equipment • Support installation of new pneumatic lines/equipment as required
Required Qualifications & Experience • DAE (Mechanical) or BE/B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering • 2–4 years of experience with industrial pneumatic systems, ideally in a printing, packaging, or manufacturing plant • Hands-on experience with air compressors and pneumatic components (SMC, Festo, Airtac, or similar)
Required Skills & Competencies • Strong understanding of pneumatic circuit diagrams and components • Mechanical aptitude with hands-on troubleshooting skills • Basic understanding of related electrical/electronic controls (solenoids, sensors) • Ability to work under pressure and respond promptly to production-critical breakdowns • Good coordination and communication skills across departments
